The locket opens closes well and has both the original metal picture retaining shims. It weighs approx. 3. 64g and the size dimensions are in the later photos. The item is stamped "9CT BACK & FRONT". To confirm, the locket isn't rolled gold, it has two solid 9ct gold sheets on the front and back of the locket. The inside has darkened with age and use, see pictures
